Update - Chennai underground

Update #1 : OK folks - here are some concept sketches for 4 of the 5 'Chennai Underground' characters. Remember, the characters may look nothing like the versions in the movies (especially Iyer) cos' I've taken some creative control over their looks. Plus, the sketches shown are the characters in their 'vigilante' avatars. The unmasked versions would resemble their big screen counterparts closer. I'm really sorry for the poor quality of the images as I was limited to using MS Paint as a touch-up tool. Hopefully, I'll have a version of Photoshop by the next post...
These are just the preliminary designs. The looks will definitely be undergoing a radical change during the detailing phase. In the next 'Underground' update, I'll try to include some full-sized views of the characters...
Update #2: A little bit of googling has brought me to the fifth character which has fortunately turned out to be from the Telugu industry...and no, its not Chiranjeevi... I guess most Andhra-ites might be familiar with the Junior NTR starrer 'Yamadonga' - about the guy who cheated death himself. Well, to be honest I'm a recent but BIG fan of the junior tiger (the guy is THE God of dance - check out this video to find out why) and think that his character in the movie - Raja, has ample scope to be developed into a full fledged superhero. Concept sketches will be posted soon.
In other news : The Children of Light pages are still pending. I'll try to shake off the lazy bug and have an update for you tomorrow.

FreakForce

Right here is the very first image i uploaded onto the internet. It was meant to be a concept sketch for a project id decided to call 'Freakforce'. But later, I happened to know that Erik Larsen ( of Savage Dragon fame) already had a project in that name. So the name is yet to be decided.
The guys in the pic are Jason Voorhees (Friday the thirteenth), Freddy Kruger (Nightmare on Elm street), and Pumpkinhead with Pinhead (Hellraiser) in the bg. I was inspired by a 'Legion of monsters' comic I was reading at that time. I realized that there were a lot of Superhero teamups like the JLA, X Men, Avengers, WildCATS, Youngblood and so on. There were also supervillain teamups (like the legion of monsters, Batman's villains, etc.). But I thought, and still think that horror comics are yet to introduce a concept of monster team-ups (pls correct me if im wrong). Thats when i started writing a script for it. And then I did this sketch.
I forgot to mention.. the only positive character in the story was supposed to be John Constantine. He seemed like a good choice as he could bridge the gap between the living world and the underworld. Plus, he seemed a worthy adversary to Lucifer (the devil..duh!), who was the guy controlling the four demons.
Whats up with the project now? As usual, I lost interest because of no moral support and stashed the script somewhere in a box under my bed. BUT, if anyone out there's interested in doing a fan comic with this concept, im game for it. Feel free to contact me.
